EU Heads Discuss Bold Or Fold Strategy Towards Trump Tariffs

On Wednesday, European leaders will seek to agree a common stance towards threatened U.S. import tariffs on steel and aluminum. U.S. President Donald Trump has imposed import duties of 25 percent on steel and 10 percent on aluminum on grounds of national security. However, Trump has granted EU producers a temporary exemption until June 1 pending the outcome of talks.
